To two fabulous women I know

Z & I have been blessed.

We each have an amazing mama.

We love them so much, 

and celebrate them today on

Mother's Day.

They know how to laugh.

And be silly.

Sometimes they mean business.

But you know it's always because they love you.

They take care of us.

They're the heart of the family.

Thank you to both of you, for being wonderful mothers, 

for always supporting us & loving us.

Garden of the Gods

Z & I recently went down to Colorado Springs

for a few days.

While he was stuck in a meeting, 

I ventured out to see what I could see.

And oh man, did I ever find something to see.

I whiled away the hours 

at the Garden of the Gods, 

hiking all the trails that wind through

incredible rock formations, 

all with a view of Pikes Peak in the background.

Heaven.

Parental Visit

More fun was had on the second day of

my parents' visit.

We started at the Farmer's Market, 

where we tasted delicious treats

at nearly every tent.

Then we headed over to 

Pearl Street Mall

to people watch and

admire the gorgeous tulips!

Mama & Daddy's Epic Boulder Adventure

Right after Easter my parents

split a whirlwind week between

 my sister's family Washington state,

and right here in Boulder to see us.

We started with a campus tour.

And we took an incredible

(but strenuous)

hike, which they dominated, 

especially considering

they didn't have much time to adjust to the altitude.

April Snow Showers

After a very dry, hot March, 

we finally got a bit more snow this week.

Not much, but every drop of moisture

is needed, even it if does mean 

pulling our winter coats back out of the closet.

Today it's warming back up,

with lots of sunshine, 

and gorgeous Spring blooming everywhere!

Hiking with friends.

One of our awesome friends from Chicago

came to visit for a couple of days last week.

We took advantage of the gorgeous 

weather & went on a favorite hike

of mine.
